Do I get to choose my location(s)?
Yes! If you have a location in mind that is great, however, if you need help picking the perfect spot I have lots of suggestions!
What do I do with my hands?
I know how scary it can be to be in front of the camera and that is okay and expected! I will guide you on how to pose through every photo and by the end, you will be a pro!
Can I bring a friend?
Most definitely! The more the merrier!
Can we add on family photos?
Of course! Ask me about add-on rates.
What do I wear to my session?
Once you book your session with me, you will receive a comprehensive planning guide that has an outfit guide.
What if I wake up with a pimple?
Don't stress! I have a robust re-touching process that includes spot removal, skin softening, and teeth whitening. We can discuss these options for your favorite photos to ensure you get the best final photos.
What is digital film?
Digital film digitally replicates the look of classic color film for incredible straight-out-of-camera images. This is a quicker and more environmentally friendly alternative to classic film. Digital film images will be delivered right after your shoot and are a fun way to get that film look everyone loves!
What if it is raining or there is inclement weather??
I offer free reschedules for rain or temperatures and other extreme weather conditions. Please see my weather policy for comprehensive information.
Is hair and makeup included in my pakcage?
While hair and makeup services are not offered in my package, I am happy to recommend some great hair and makeup artists who can help you look your best for your session.
Are prints included in my package?
No, prints are not included in my package. However, you do have the option to seamlessly purchase prints a la carte through your gallery. Alternatively, you can print independently via Walgreens, Costco, or other services, and I can provide a print release upon request free of charge.
After booking my session can I decide to upgrade to a Standard or Luxe?
Yes, of course! Just let me know at least a week before your session, and we can discuss upgrading.
What touchups are included?
I provide basic touch-ups to all your images, such as removing a zit, pimple, or distracting objects like people or cones in the background. For additional edits, like skin softening, teeth whitening, or flyaway hair control, I charge an hourly rate of $45/hour for additional touchups.
Do you offer payment plans for photo sessions?
Yes! I understand that investing in photography is a big decision, and I’m happy to offer flexible payment plans to make it easier for you.
I am worried about the timing of my session. Will it be too dark?
All of my shoots are intentionally scheduled around the best lighting conditions, as the time of day plays a huge role in creating the glowy, natural light look you see in my work.

Because my work relies on natural light and outdoor environments, weather decisions are handled carefully to protect both your experience and the quality of your final images.
Weather Discussion Timeline
Reschedule discussions will not begin until 7 days prior to your scheduled session date. Forecasts are unreliable
before that time, and I reserve that window to properly evaluate conditions.
Cloud Cover
Overcast or cloudy skies are not considered inclement weather. Cloud coverage often creates beautiful, soft
lighting and sessions will proceed as scheduled.
If a client chooses to reschedule due to preference for sunshine when conditions are otherwise safe and workable, a reschedule fee equal to 50 percent of the session total will apply.
Inclement Weather
Rain, sustained high winds, wildfire smoke, extreme heat, or hazardous travel conditions may qualify for a
complimentary reschedule.
A weather based reschedule decision for qualifying inclement conditions may be made beginning at the 3 day mark prior to the session. However, final determination may be made at any time up until 10:00 AM on the morning of the session if conditions change unexpectedly.
Annika retains final discretion in determining whether conditions qualify for a weather related reschedule without fee.
Heat Policy
Sessions may be rescheduled if temperatures are forecasted to exceed 95 degrees at the scheduled shoot time.
If temperatures are between 90 and 95 degrees at the scheduled shoot time, adjustments such as location changes, earlier start times, or shaded environments may be implemented rather than full rescheduling.
Wildfire Smoke Policy
Air Quality Index levels will be monitored using a reliable local AQI source.
Sessions may be rescheduled without fee if AQI reaches 150 or higher (Unhealthy category).
If AQI is between 100 and 150 (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups), rescheduling will be evaluated at Annika’s discretion depending on location, duration, and client health considerations.
General
Deposits are non refundable but will transfer to a new agreed upon date in the case of approved weather
rescheduling.
Rescheduled sessions must take place within 60 days of the original session date unless otherwise agreed upon.
